Springtime in the City

Living in Morristown is great thanks to all of the wonderful things there are to do right here in our backyard. One of the perks of the area, though, is across state lines–and across the river. Being just a hop, skip, and a jump from New York City is fantastic. While you might have braved the cold to see the city for the holidays, it’s even more appealing now that warm weather is here.

Grow Your Green Thumb

Whether you’re a gardener yourself or you just like to stop and smell the roses, there’s plenty of botanical beauty to check out. Aside from just taking a stroll in Central Park, be sure to check out the Macy’s Flower Show. This annual event is now in its 43rd year. While this year’s theme has yet to be announced, the past 42 years prove that it’s bound to be breathtaking.

You’ll also want to take a look at the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden. This year focuses on Thailand’s plant life, and will be complete with dancing and music during the festival.

Of course, you might also have some fun at the NYC Cocktail Expo, Whisky Live, or the Bloody Mary Festival. Just be sure to plan ahead and have a designated driver or other planned transportation if you’ll be imbibing at these events.
